Weekly Photo Challenge – Serene

On my last trip to Thailand in 2010, we rented a driver for the day and visited 4 different places around Chiang Rai. Our last stop was at Doi In Cee and the ride up to the top of the mountain was like a ride at Disneyland, with the ride down being somewhat scary as you couldn’t see the road in front of you.

With that said, the large, white Buddha at the top was stunning. I took lots of photos of the whole Buddha, but when I zoomed in on the face, I started to cry. Those serene eyes showed so much love that it got me to my core.

The photo was in color, but something made me try it in Black and White. I really like it this way.

Today’s freebie is a soft focus photo of a small part of the Mexican Sage Bush in my backyard.
