Some time after the 52nd Weekend Freebie this site will be in maintenance mode. At this point, I’m not sure how many days it will be down, but I’ll try and get it back up and running as soon as possible!
Last August I got a Xenvo lens kit for my iPhone SE. Using the macro lens setup along with Camera-M app, I was able to get within a quarter of an inch of any subject and get a pretty good macro shot. I didn’t need to get in that close for this shot, but I liked how close I was able to get.
While trying to re-create the background image from my Cherita post, long story, I ended up creating a new piece. It started with flipping the background image vertically and horizontally, changing the blend mode to “negation” and lowering the opacity to 90%. I liked the tropical look it was taking on.
I’ve been fascinated watching people on YouTube create Art Journals. Inspired by their creations, I thought I’d try my hand on a digital mixed media look. This is what I came up with as an eCard for my step-fathers birthday (I left off the last piece with his name). Follow along as I show you step-by-step how I created this image.
Earlier this year my hiking friend and I were out walking around Moorpark College taking photos of flowers…or whatever caught our eyes. I loved the pretty pink Amaryllis we came across. I took photos from several different angles and thought I’d try using this photo with my new textures.
