Finally getting around to showing 1 of the 8 fortnight lilies still in bloom, but it looks like they’ll be closing up tomorrow or Tuesday. Not sure why they’re called fortnight as they sure don’t last 14 days!!

I called this one “Sky High” as I had to get down on my knees to be able to shoot up from the underside of the flower. Being that the sky was a light gray with not much going on, I decided to give the photo a few textures and a more artistic look. Larger size can be seen on Viewbug.

69 days down, 296 to go!!

  1. I love the muted color pallette in sky high, evokes both handpainted photographs and the careful watercolors of Victorian botanists

    1. Thank you, Mary. This is one of my favorites of the 365 project.
