While trying to re-create the background image from my Cherita post, long story, I ended up creating a new piece. It started with flipping the background image vertically and horizontally, changing the blend mode to “negation” and lowering the opacity to 90%. I liked the tropical look it was taking on.
This weeks Photo Challenge, Silence, asks us to “show what silence looks like.” The haiku expresses my feelings on this part of a small, neighborhood park. I prefer walking my little dog around the park when we are pretty much the only ones there. Nothing but silence…with the occasional birds chirping, or some ground squirrels signaling danger to the other squirrels in the area.
